Jonathan Knock and Melinda Corey,
Coordinators of Children and Youth
Jonathan Knock is originally from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. He received a degree in Biblical Studies and Youth Leadership from Atlantic Baptist University (now Crandall University) in 2000. He has held positions in youth ministry at several summer camps and churches in both Maine and Canada, as well as working in outdoor adventure, and currently is employed by VIP Kid, teaching English online to students in China. He is a volunteer youth rock climbing instructor at the Alfond Youth Center in Waterville and has tutored in their local homeschool group. Jonathan enjoys making rustic furniture and toys from local and salvaged woods and any outdoor activities, especially rock/ice climbing, mountain biking, and camping.
Melinda Corey is originally from Littleton, Maine. She received a degree in Spanish and Youth Ministry from Gordon College in 2002, and completed her master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education at UMaine (Orono) in 2014. She has worked with young children in many capacities, and currently serves as the Early Intervention Program Manager for Child Development Services’ regional offices in Waterville and Farmington. She is an instructor for Maine Roads to Quality, trainer with Adoptive and Foster Families of Maine, and information specialist with the Autism Society of Maine. In her free time, she enjoys reading and exploring new places with friends and family.
Jonathan and Melinda were married in 2003. They live in Albion with their son Caleb, whom they homeschool, two cats, two bunnies, and lots of fish. St. Mark’s is delighted that they are part of our parish with a focus on our children and youth.
